immi and her very own mr. darcy.

I was absent mindedly sitting with immi on my lap at the edge of the bed today when I heard her say “Hello!”!!! I looked down and found her giggling, apparently very pleased with herself. This is the first time she ever said “hello” without being prompted, I was so surprised!
immi playing with her dad. she loves his super soft fuzzy white bathrobe!

immi got her first chair. we are having tea on the patio and she is sitting between potted strawberries and tomatoes. she seems to like the wind chimes and bird sounds and trees.

conveniently (for us!), she seems to have decided that 9:00–9:30 pm to 7:30–8:00 am is her sleepy time and will sleep soundly anywhere as long as the room is reasonably dim and quiet.

immi still loves her original mr. giraffie, even if he isn’t chewable.

…fell a sleep playing.

Mr. Giraffie has been immi’s favorite toy and it’s starting to have that “very-much-loved” look already. Luckily, her grandmom found her a chewable one whose head won’t go soggy when she bites into it (…or crunchy when dried!).

Todd surprised immi and i yesterday by signing us up for postnatal yoga class as a Mom’s day gift, we’ll be doing that next month!
todd, immi and i went to DC to meet up with my sister for yummy sushi.

immi has been very entertained by her own feet since her discovery a week or so ago.

immi got a hair cut yesterday. it was really difficult to trim her hair (she got excited and wiggled a lot because she thought it was fun time) and ended up being a little shorter than intended.

immi on the changing table with mr. lion.
i woke up this morning with the idea to work up immi’s birth chart. i’ve found that: 1) her rising sign is sagittarius 2) her moon is in scorpio and 3) has stellium in pisces (just like me! AND we both have mercury and venus as part of stellium).
here is a pic of immi just because:

she likes pulling on mr. giraffie the giraffe’s tail and horns.
immi has grown into the little white dress her grandmother got for her in Vietnam. and now that i got a picture of it, she can spit up on it all she likes…

she learned a word! she can say “hello” if you look in to her eyes and say hello very slowly. she’s been practicing for a week or two, now it definitely sounds like a “hello”. …and she laughs with you when you laugh.
