immi had her first “solid” food (organic whole grain rice cereal mixed with formula) today. she seemed very excited about it and did her happy dance between bites. she even helped out spoon feeding by shoving dribbling rice cereal into her mouth with her hand!

i caught immi trying to crawl around in her crib — with mr. giraffie in her arm (!!) — for the second time today and this time i got a picture of it. she isn’t quite crawling yet but she can scoot around on her tummy quite well.

immi was trying to fit all sorts of toys in her mouth as she grumbled on so i thought to give pacifiers another try. she gave up pacifiers in february and didn’t want them since, but she seems to have found use for it again. she was happily nuknuking away and eventually fell asleep in her chair.

immi and her dad.
[immi news] she learned to flip over from tummy side down position on to her back AND vice versa. (she first fliped on to her tummy to lift up her head to see where her dad went after playing with her in the crib.) she has been practicing these moves for couple of days and can do them now with better consistency. but sometimes she gets stuck in the corner of her crib trying to flip on to her back and gets really upset.

immi trying to fit whole block into her month. of the set of four, she likes this one the best by far. i am assuming that this is because it crinkles (one of them squeeks and the other two has low/high bells in them) but it also happen to have giraffe on it.
i think that immi might be teething. her gum looks a little different and she wants to chew on everything, even my arms! and she gets a little grumpy sometimes (and pacified if she chews on something).

even though immi hasn’t reached the weight limit on the bassinet yet, i have been a bit concerned about how much it shakes when she moves around. so, i decided that today is the day to convert the bassinet into the play pen and i took a pic of immi in her bassinet for the last time.
…and here is immi hanging out in her converted play pen. she seems to be watching mr. oskar who is most likely looking at the big pot of catnip we have in the patio mini garden.

this morning, immi was suddently able to lift her self up on her arms much higher and for a very long time! she also figured out how to roll over from tummy side down position on to her back.

immi (…and i) visited todd at work today and we got to see his cube.
[immi news] she mastered the art of squealing a couple days ago (she had been doing this only in random bursts) and now she gleefully squeals in various durations and pitch contours for minutes at a time.
