We are at restaurant Levantes in DC having lunch with junko. We wanted to see her before her month long business trip around asia.

immi was gifted a playpen (she says “thank you grandmom!!”). This is a whole lot bigger than the portable playpen in which she was starting to look like a hamster in a really tiny cage. Now she has lots of baby-friendly space to roll around and scoot and play!

immi is trying the teething biscuit for the first time. It really hard like doggie treat. She seems to like it a lot but it was really messy (sticky drool goo everywhere!).

immi had a 6 month checkup appointment today. The pediatrician told us that she is doing great! She had lots of fun crinkling the big paper thing on the examination table and tried to play with the stethoscope. Immi can now sort of sit leaning on her arms (…i think that she is making very good progress considering her supersize head!) and sort of stand with support (she really loves to jump up and down with a bit of my help). She enjoys eating all sorts of fruits, veggies and cereals, there hasn’t been anything she wouldn’t eat.
immi had to get vaccines again:( but despite being a little feverish from them, she seems very cheerful:
immi is now:
height: 25 5/8 inches (50 percentile)
weight: 13.3 pounds (5–10 percentile)
head: 17 1/8 inches (75 percentile!!)

immi’s aunt was visiting us this weekend. We are hanging out on the couch at a coffee shop in Leesburg (they have the yummiest Snowy Mocha Milkshake!).

I woke up this morning to the sound of very very very happy giggly-squealy-laughing immi. She sounded much too happy to be doing anything legal. Todd got up to see whats going on and found that immi had managed to pull her diaper off and made big puddle in her crib. Even Mr. Giraffie got wet, and he had to take a bath for the first time ever.

Miss Monroe came to sit next to immi simply because immi was playing right next to Miss M’s usual spot on the couch. immi wanted to pet Miss M (she just LOVES kitties!) which was tolerated, but Miss M got up to leave when immi tried to chew on her tail.
…and here is pic of immi and *real* mr. darcy (he is a boating kitty!) hanging out on her grandmom’s pontoon boat at the lake.

immi got her bangs trimmed for the second time today. it was a lot easier this time compared to the last haircut experience since she was sleeping in her car seat and not squirming much!

magic blanket

immi found a favorite blanket. it’s white and super soft and fuzzy on one side and silky satin on the other side. she tucked in mr.giraffie with her too. i know that this is THE magic blanket because she got really grumpy when i took it away from her (she isn’t suppose to have blanket unattended yet).
