immi’s crib looks less cozy to me without the bumpers, but she doesn’t seem to care much.
Today Jessica came to visit us. We were sitting around in the living room having crackers with artichoke spread (immi was in her red immipod having mushy peas) when jessica said to immi “Can you say ‘artichoke’? Ar-Ti-Choke??”. Immi replied “Arr! Tih!! Chook!!!”!!!
This morning, i found immi doing this:
…and thought that we’ll need to remove the bumpers really really soon. And then couple hours later, I found that she had figured out how to untie the knots on the bumpers and she was crawling out of it! So, at that point, we took it off immediately and lowered the crib mattress while at it.
I got tonsilectomy today which is definitely not fun, but it almost makes up for it that immi made this get-well-card for me with her grandmom’s calligraphy pen:
Maybe it says “Get well soon!”, or it could be a picture of mr. giraffie, or our 3 kitties, or megaman, or…
Kevin, Wendy and Carey are visiting us from charlottesville. The three of them combined is “Pinko Communoids”, a fun and sophisticated improv trio that makes very pretty noise, and they performed at Sonic Circuits event in DC the night before.
Immi had been grumpy since the morning probably due to teething (I can feel the sharp edge on top of her gum) and Pinkos and todd are trying to ungrumpify immi with her new book called Squishy Turtle and Friends (a sequal to her favorite book: Fuzzy Bee and Friends).
[immi news] Last night, immi took her first step with her tummy lifted up (she had been pushing herself up wobblily on all fours for past couple of weeks). She also sat herself up from tummy side down position.
We are at the aquarium, I thought that she might like it since she really enjoys her aquarium toy.

We had just strolled along the waterfront in Wilmington (about 20 min drive from the beach). We are sitting outside at one of the restaurants along the river.
Immi seems to really enjoy watching bubbly waves at the edge of the beach. The ocean here is very warm but she doesn’t care much for getting her feet wet.
Immi is waiting for her bubble bath back at the house.
We are at the beach house in NC with immi’s grandparents. It’s usually a 5.5 hour drive from Reston, but it took 8.5 hours to come here because of weekend traffic and several long-ish stops we made for immi’s comfort. She travelved very well (longest drive for her ever!) but she was very tired by night time.
