Happy Halloween!
Here’s immi being a cat with oskar and miss monroe.
Immi went to work with her dad for half a day today (wearing the cat outfit of course!). She had so much fun at the office that she just wanted to go to her crib and sleep when she got home.
[immi news] immi is now crawling expertly with her tummy up! She also says “Dadaa” at her dad really often…but it could still be a coincidence.

It is the holloween weekend, but we decided to enjoy a quiet one as this week has been completely hectic with todd’s kidney stone etc. etc. You can read about it here (scroll down to posts from October 21, 25, and 26th):

Immi’s grandparents got her a rainforest activity center (it has a coushy seat in the middle and she can jump up/down, spin around, and play with various blinky musical toys) for when she visits their home.
She loved it immediately! Evenually, she fell a sleep in it still holding on to the parrot.

We took immi to her pediatrician today because we thought something must be wrong with her persistent diaper rash (she hasn’t had this problem with her environmentally-(hopefully)-less-hazardous diapers). As it turns out she has thrush, an oral yeast infection that comes with a special diaper rash! She got some medicine and ointment and she should be fine in couple days.
In the meanwhile all of her toys were washed (…or at least wiped with soapy towel) and mr. giraffiex2, numerous other giraffes, and a rabbit took a bath in the washing machine.
Immi received her spaceship chair in the mail today! Yay!! The chair pops up at push of the orange button and immi enjoys being wheeled around in it.
Immi spends most of her waking hours standing up. Now she can also bounce up and down, walk sideways along the edge, and lift one foot or one arm up while standing.
Immi’s auntie junko is back from her month long trip and visiting us this weekend. We are at our favorite chinese restaurant (junko is behind the camera taking this picture) in Sterling VA.

Allison stopped by on her way home in Cville from DC today and immi showed off the super cute outfit (the one she is wearing in the pictures above) which allison got for immi when she was born (it fits her now, just in time for fall fashion!!).

[immi news] Immi turned 8 month old today! She can stand up holding on to stuff. And, she can pull herself up to a kneeling position.
immi made them this morning (todd was the witness, I missed it)! …what I mean is that she put both of her hand on her head to immitate cat ears. I do this at her often to make her laugh. I don’t know that she knows what it means but I’m quite sure that she knows it means something. She got excited and giggly, apparently very pleased with herself.
I got a picture of her new little teeth! She is chewing on her mini-giraff’s tail.
Immi got a hold of Oskar’s tail. She is about to stuff it in her mouth.

[immi news] She started gnawing on her crib! I’ve noticed her doing this couple days ago, but yesterday, I went to check on her because I heard her crying and found her face covered in dust sized pieces of black paint chips! Her pediatrician, the poison control center, and internet had some suggestions but not very good ones. We’ll see if it really becomes a problem.

[immi news] Immi got her second tooth (lower right central incisor)! It broke through her gum last saturday. And, her first tooth is very much visible already.
