We are spending Christmas eve at immi’s grandmom’s. After the tasty feast, we sat by the fire and exchanged gifts. immi immediately fell in love with the “Hello Kitty Goes to the Movies” DVD (more than the bilingual doll named Yumi, more than an entire train full of animals, more than…).

We are spending time with Jessica and we just finished having phở (immi didn’t get any phở, she had pineapples and peaches). After lunch, Jessica surprized immi with a long blue haired guitar player and short pink haired vocalist. Now she can drum away with her friends and start her girl band. These two colorful band-mates came with a black and sparkly purple pony because every band needs a magical creature, obviously.

immi is sitting on changing table. The super cute and warm socks she is wearing was knitted by our friend Shana. immi loves this pair so much that she kept them on for 3.5 hours (she usually takes socks off faster than I can put them on her).

Immi seems to be learning things very fast these days. Now she waves her hand when people say “hello” or “bye-bye” even if they don’t wave. Immi understands the meaning of “No!” (usually stops what she is doing, sometimes followed by tears!). She also shakes her head side ways to mean ‘no’ (when she doesn’t like/want something). Yesterday, she learned to put things back in her toy bucket instead of only taking things out it.
She is getting better at standing unassisted. Here is immi playing with air-powered-ball-popper toy using both of her hands while standing up! She has closed her eyes because the air unexpectedly blew into her face.
Immi is investigating her bumble bee shaker.
She is also growing more teeth! It looks like her upper canine teeth are poking through as well. That would be 6 teeth on top and 2 on bottom (where are her lower teeth?).

Our friends mike&mary got immi this super cute car. She loves it, as does oskar who enjoys playing with the attached spinning toy.
I happen to get a picture of immi standing on her own! She decided to try standing during her exploration around the flat. She doesn’t use her pacifier as much anymore but she like to carry it around (comes in handy often when she wants to bang on something with it).

Immi can now stand up from sitting position without any support for about 5 seconds. She has been working on it for past couple of days and improving very fast!
She also definitely waves ‘hello’.

We have driven up to Baltimore and sitting at Teavolve, a tea place that have bubble tea and other yummy things.
We are decorating the tree at Alexis and John’s. Immi is helping too.
