Immi is a 2 year old who spends her day organizing her tiny little toys, taking walks, and playing with kitties. She won't go anywhere without her little purse. Her favorite food is cucumbers and olives. And she is obsessed with Hello Kitty and Doraemon. Take a peak into her adventures of daily life!
We are preparing brunch at immi’s grandmom’s. While omelettes and waffles are cooking, immi runs around with her ducky-monkey. She is very happy because she just spotted Mr. Darcy.
Immi caught Mr. Darcy by his tail. He doesn’t seem to mind this much. They like to play together a whole lot.

Aunt Junko invited us for dinner in DC for my birthday (…which is tomorrow!).

Night time is when immi is a little ninja with nunchaku.
In the morning, faery immi has tea with faeries of the magical mushroom cottage.

Immi was cruising around the table after dinner. As she reached for a blob of ketchup on the plate, Todd said “Immi, No.” (which she understands). But immi proceeded to stick her hand in the ketchup anyways. When I asked “Are you being bad?”, she threw me a kiss and giggled.
Immi got new pair of shoes! I looked for ones that would be easier for her to walk around in and these have soft leather soles. Besides, they are fuzzy and pink leopard print! Immi hates wearing socks and she’ll pull them off as soon as I put them on, but she’ll keep socks on [...]

Immi is playing with lego blocks. She really likes them (and me too!). Mostly, she likes to take them apart and investigate individual pieces, but she does occasionally stick pieces together as well.
Immi finished eating frozen raspberries and now finger painting with them on her trey. Frozen fruits seem to help her with teething. She likes ice chips too, but I thought that fruits would be more nutritious. I just put some chopped up grapes in the freezer, hopefully those would be less messy!
We are at Port City Java at Eastern Market in DC. We came for fresh veggies and such at the farmer’s market but it was unexpectedly a bit cold so we are warming up a bit at the coffee shop. Immi is munching on waffles I made in the morning.

We have been immi-proofing our place gradually for a long time now. But it was time to get more serious. We got 2 tall gates and some other little gadgets to secure cabinets and drawers the night before and I installed them today.

Immi has enjoyed this rocking giraffe since the last thanksgiving, but now she really likes it because she can hop on/off on her own!
Immi is learning to brush her teeth. She has almost (her right molar is nearly completely out) 9 teeth!!
Todd is in NY for the weekend so immi and I invited Auntie Junko for extra fun. We made green tea mousse, carrot cookies with frosting, shopped online for fabrics to make Junko a laptop case and ordered-in Thai food.
Immi had so much fun crawling/waking/running(!) around with junko following after her and playing hide-and-seek.
Immi really likes her pearlescent lavender hair brush: mostly for chewing on. So we had a hairbrushing 101 with a little help from Mr. Teddy Bear. Immi got the brushing thing immediately and had fun brushing Mr. Teddy’s head. When immi was satisfied, she started brushing her own hair.
Immi mastered the stacking toy! When I haphazardly stacked the scattered rings to get them off the floor, immi came over to take them apart and then effortlessly stacked them back up in the correct order.
…and then later in the day, she got the toy stacked in order again. So, I clapped and said “yay!!” [...]
Today is saturday and we are working on laundry. Immi wants to sort clean laundry with me, and she seems to be able to pick out socks.
Here is immi walking off with as many socks as she can carry and one more.
