Immi’s dad is in Las Vegas at a conference, and I finally got skype setup on the imac that immi’s grandmom kindly offered us recently (she decided to part ways with mac). We put this machine in the living room and moved out our big TV and DVD player into our office because we decided a communal computer is more useful here than a TV. This arrangement have been working out fabulously since we don’t watch tv, we make use of instant-netflix a lot, and now we can play music on iTune directly off of large hard drive rather than from our ipods. And immi can no longer fiddle with the DVD player.

We got this big pony immi wanted a while back because it was on sale! Immi of course loves her and she rides around everywhere.
Immi and her daddy are playing Galaga. Todd finally had a chance to get the Nintendo (NES!!) setup and working. Immi has a controller too but I didn’t plug that one in…so she just thinks she is playing:)

Immi and her daddy playing.
Immi overheard her dad saying to someone on the phone that he was going to give immi a bath. This got immi very excited and she ran over to the bathroom door, tapped on it and asked hopefully — “ba, baaath!?”. Immi loves bath, and I have no idea why because it inevitably ends with shower which she really hates!
I’ve heard immi say many words now, but she hardly ever repeats same words. Only words she uses with regularity is “hi”, “bye” and for some reason …”cheese”!
Immi’s tiny sibling has been very active lately, I think that s/he had hick-ups today. I can tell already that s/he is really very different from immi!

Immi likes to share her food and it does not matter where or what with.
She even has an immi-kisses-for-food exchange program. If you have soemthing she wants, she will come up to you and give you kisses. Then if you don’t give her what she wants she gets very very grumpy!!!

It’s immi’s second halloween today! Immi-Roo went to work with her dad for lunch time.
“Rooz Allen Hamilton. This is Immi-Roo Speaking!”
Rummaging her dad’s office desk drawers…
Immi and I went to the shopping mall to watch Trick-or-Treaters. (Various stores are giving out candy!). Here’s Immi-Roo strapped into her stroller.

Immi’s dad ate the candy. Immi-Roo is licking what’s left of it on the wrapper…
Immi and I are waiting for Trick-or-Treaters. I’m a faery…of garden variety.

Now we are at Immi’s grandmom’s. Immi-Roo is having dinner (apple sauce, avocado roll, milk).
Immi-Roo had a long and exciting day. She is very very tired and resting on the couch.

Immi has a new obsession (…after shoes, wrist cuffs, purses, necklaces…). This time it’s keys. But any set of keys won’t do: it has to have a long chain for attaching it to the belt-loop just like her dad’s. Apparently my set of keys are boring and anyway we don’t want to loose our keys so I made a set just for immi from old keys that won’t open anything and a surplus wallet chain that I found in the bottom of the drawer. Immi demanded that I attach it to her somehow (luckily it hooked on to her skirt just fine even without the belt-loop) and proudly dragging it around (she doesn’t seem to mind that she has no pocket to stuff the keys into).
Immi is taking her keys for a walk…
We drove back home from the camp really late last night (we got home around 3:30am!). We were going to come back this morning, but Immi started flipping out around midnight (she never does this!) and we started packing just in case she was ill or something. By the time we finished packing she calmed down, as it turns out, I think that she was just constipated and she was all better once she got it out of her (It’s funny now, but it wasn’t then!!). Anyhow, we already packed and we had a lot to do today, so we decided to drive back. We did have plenty of time to enjoy beautiful starry sky, camp fire and friends before immi found herself in discomfort so everything is all good: )

When Immi wants to go outside, she brings me my shoes for me to wear, then her own shoes for herself. Today, Immi brought her dad his shoes! So here we are outside in the parking lot with rc car.
Immi is walking with the car. Todd encouraged her to help the car move by pushing it forward a bit. Immi liked this game a lot and she kept pushing the car every time it stopped (in reality it’s controlled by the controller…). When it moved again, she laughed and clapped!
Sometimes these days, Immi has been having meals in her chair at the table with us instead of in her high chair. She seems to enjoy this arrangement and behaves really well. For some reason we end up with much less mess then if she ate at her high chair.
Immi now says “tata” for “thank you”. I think that it’s a very nice word to know: )

Immi is doodling in her little travel notebook with her daddy at Starbucks.
Immi still doesn’t say many words but she seems to understand a whole lot of what we are saying. I know for sure that there are many words she understands because when I say “Where is your chair/notebook/book/kitty…” She can find the correct object and bring it to me.
Immi and I went to a Story Time at a bookstore today while Todd was having eye examined. I had felt badly about not taking Immi more to these things but I feel better about it now because neither of us liked it at all.

Immi misses her daddy so much. She wanted to call him and wouldn’t stop crying (she still looks sniffly) until I gave her the REAL phone which she spotted out of her reach. She is dialing now and about to say”Hi!, Dada!!. Hi!!”.
Immi’s grandparents invited us over of dinner. Immi is walking around in the parking lot while we wait for our ride.
People who visit our place ask us often if the cats can jump over or otherwise go through the gates. I haven’t seen them jump over but they can go though the side of the one that goes to the kitchen.
…it just takes a bit of effort for Mr. Oskar who is, you know, big-boned: )
bagel and coffee

Todd had a bagel craving so were we are! Immi and her daddy waiting for our breakfast bagel sandwiches.
…and we ran out of coffee at the house so we stopped at Starbucks. Immi is having apple crunchies. Todd is having Grande Iced White Mocha and I’m having Tall Caramel Macchiato.
