When my friends Allison and Aurie visited us last Saturday, Aurie brought for immi the cutest Hello Kitty lunch bag! Immi loves it of course and stuffs it with her little toys.

“I like!!!”
…while pointing at Hello Kitty on my PJ. I’m glad she likes Hello Kitty since she has accumulated some HK things. And Todd and I joked a long time ago that the first thing she’d say would be “I hate Hello Kitty!”.
She has also been saying “up! up!!” every time she takes a step up on the stairs.
She absolutely LOVES the multi-color light in the living room (when we moved the living room to my former studio room, we simply didn’t need very bright overhead lights so Todd put in those fun ones).

When it gets dark, immi wants these lights on and points at them, and then at the switch for them on the wall. When we turn them on, she points and says “light!!” and giggles happily.
We are at Immi’s grandparents’ for dinner. They got a little Hello Kitty house for viisiting immi to play in! Immi likes to bring in her toys and get comfy on pillows.
Immi said “Hi kitty!” to Mr. Seagal today. She also has a new word that she uses regulary now and it’s “this”. …as in when I ask “what do you want?” and Immi points and says “This!!!”.
Immi woke up feeling GRUMPY!! Nothing made her feel better, not even bracelets, or cards, or a set of Dominos (she found it the other day and she loves them!). Until I filled up her Hello Kitty PEZ! She knows how to dispense candies properly too.
Immi insisted on sitting at the table (probably because her favorite aunt is here!) and not in her high chair so I experimentally sat her in a regular chair (her little chairs are too short for the table). She sat here without bobbling around — though I had be be watching very carefully — and ate her slightly sweetened azuki bean treat that we made: )
You know, Immi doesn’t just eat sweets all day. I discovered today that she LOVES celery! (She chews on the ends and leaves the stringy bits).
…I even got a video of celery eating immi!

Immi looks into a dollhouse from the window.
Immi is throwing out all the dollhouse components in the bowl except for the two Hello Kitties and the faery daybed.
This is what she did with them. (What do you think the Hello Kitties are doing?)
And then she did this (Hello Kitty soup?)
Aunt Junko is back from her month long business trip and her friend’s bachelorette party in NY. She brought back for Immi from Japan all sorts of cutest goodies (lots of stickers and Hello Kitties!). They are now playing with Hello Kitty magnetic book that came with bunch of magnets that you can stick on/off repeatedly.
Immi, her aunt and I are taking a walk outside. There are bunch of mosquitos out today, agh!
We received a big box of goodies from immi’s Ojiichan and Obaachan who recently moved back to Japan (from Vietnam, permanently!). This is a perfect treat for Immi and I since it’s a little too quiet here with Todd in Detroit on business trip this week (we miss you!!).
Immi is tapping on the box, which means “Open this!”
Immi unpacking the box and inspecting contents.
Immi is grumpy now because she spotted packs of gummies but I woudn’t open any of them. I’m quite sure that she knows they are gummies. It’s packaged like the ones she gets sometimes which are formulated for toddlers and has easy to eat texture.

Immi cheered up already because she found a Hello Kitty bag, it even matches the dress she is wearing!

Immi got a Hello Kitty doll house. She already have doll houses, but Immi loves them both and they are quite different. Now the fairies and the Hello-Kitties and the little muggles can have a tea party at the Mushroom House or a BBQ dinner at the dream house. Anyway, it was Immi’s half-birthday this past Saturday (the 6 month after her 1st birthday went by so quickly!).

Immi’s favorite item in laundry is still socks. She likes to wear them like a pair of opera gloves. Quite often, she lifts up her arm with a sock on and says “Meow!”, I think that she wants it to be a sock puppet (Immi has a lion and a leopard ones that are too big for her hands).
